9 Mar 2009 - Monday Club Orba Castle

This is the second time we have led this walk with the Monday Club from Parcent to Orba Castle.

This river was supposed to be dry!

Because of the water we had to use a difficult track up to Murla

7 March 2009 - Col de Rates walk

One of our favourite walks is the Col de Rates, which we can see from our naya. The walk takes about 5 hours, and it graded by CBMW as Moderately Streneous.

4 Mar 2009 - CBMW Bernia Walk

This was a CBMW walk in Bernia which we had not done before. It was led by Val, and was followed by a menu del dia. We enjoyed the walk, which would be suitable for our Monday Club, but did not stay for the meal. However David and Rosemary did, and that is how we got the photographs.

2 Mar 2009 - Monday Club Finistrat Walk

For some time Pat had suggested a walk in the Finistrat area. We were less keen as it is a long drive, over an hour, from Parcent. Recently Pat and Sue did this walk with the CBMW, and agreed it would be a good one for the Monday Club.

Because it is so far it was agreed that we all meet at Teulada and share cars to Finistrat. This meant an even longer drive, about 90 minutes each way.

The weather was overcast when we left, and remained that way all day - except when it rained. The walk was longer than usual for the Monday Club, and combined with the journey it was a very long day. We left Parcent at 9am and returned at 6pm.
